Due to the financial crisis in November, the future of art in Dubai is currently uncertain, but artistic developments in two other states of the United Arab Emirates (Abu Dhabi and Sharjah) continue undiminished. An analysis of how art, the ultimate Western symbol of freethinking, is a crucial factor in the socio-economic reorientation of a Abu Dhabi.
