This year Frieze Projects is continuing last year's tradition of remembering a legendary New York spot by having artists cook as a tribute to FOOD, the restaurant Gordon Matta-Clark, Tina Girouard, Carol Gooden and others ran in Soho beginning in 1971 at 127 Prince Street. (It’s a Lucky Jeans store now.) DR - 27.04.13

US court rules in favour of Richard Prince in copyright appeal. A three-judge panel finds that most of the works in the artist’s “Canal Zone” series, which include appropriated images of Jamaican Rastafarians by the photographer Patrick Cariou, are “transformative”. DR - 26.04.13

Turner prize 2013 shortlist takes a mischievous turn. A streak of subversive humour runs through the work of Lynette Yiadom-Boakye, Tino Sehgal, Laure Prouvost and David Shrigley – all nominated for this year's £40,000 art prize. DR - 25.04.13

New York and London-based artist Ellen Cantor(1963–2013) has died. Cantor was perhaps best known for her ongoing film work Pinochet Porn, which the artist continued to work on as funding allowed since 2009. DR - 23.04.13
