The Immaterial Auction

THE IMMATERIAL AUCTION
For the benefit of the Palais de Tokyo
OCTOBER 15TH / 8PM

As a reaction to the pure and simple possession of an object (even if it be an artwork), this atypical auction offers the chance to acquire a unique, ephemeral but precious moment, whose unique value comes from the quality of the experience it offers, and the personality involved: Hiroshi Sugimoto, Ryan Gander, Philippe Parreno, Xavier Veilhan and many others have agreed to take part by providing an exceptional self-giving experience to be shared with the bid winner. All of these immaterial lots glorify the instant, a moment of eternity, a few seconds or a few hours that are sometimes enough to change one’s life!

On October 15th, while the international art world is vibrating in tune with FIAC, Palais de Tokyo is organizing an exceptional auction of immaterial lots for the benefit of its program schedule, with the kind participation of the auctioneer Simon de Pury.
