Last Friday (oct 9th) saw the opening of the exhibition cycle Morality at Witte de With, with a performance by Spartacus Chetwynd (London, 1973). She gained recognition with her baroque, musical and surreal performances featuring humorous image quotations from art history, literature linked to pop and folktales. At Witte de With, her performance The Triumph of Death and King Midas was to be seen. This is the first project to be developed in the framework of a performance cycle called Let us compare mythologies, curated by Renske Janssen
For more on Morality, read the interview with curator Juan Gaitán in the latest issue of Metropolis M magazine (For sale october 16th).
