At first glance, I didn’t really felt attracted to the aesthetics or execution of Gillian Jagger’s work at David Lewis Gallery in New York, but it did immediately captivate me on the level of attitude and that arose some sort of curiosity in me. The sculptural installation resonated with me something that came from an island, far away, completely unique and independent on its own. It had a deep #fuckit attitude that surpassed the trends of its own time without trying to be a rebel, but by being loyal to an internal logic where a deep investigation takes place in respect to the landscape which was carefully created over the years and who’s aim is to share its discoveries in an intimate way without being ashamed of its own sensitivity.
